If I want to uninstall the OneTouch® USB Cable driver, what do I have to do?
Your options for performing an uninstall vary with the version of the driver. Version 1.0 of the driver should be uninstalled from the same CD used to install it. - Insert the CD and search on it for a folder named "Uninstall".
- Open the folder and double-click on the file named DRemover.exe.
- Follow the instructions as prompted.
(If you have misplaced your CD, contact the OneTouch® Customer Care Line at 800 663-5521 Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (6 a.m. – 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time); we can send a replacement CD or walk you through the process of doing a manual uninstall, if you prefer).
If you installed Version 2.0 from either a CD or the Web download, you can perform an uninstall through either of these two options.
Option 1: Uninstall from the Windows® Program Menu - Select the "Start" button, then open the "Programs" option, and then choose "OneTouch USB Driver - Uninstall".
- You will be presented with InstallShield instructional messages. Follow these instructions.
- Select "Yes" to reboot your PC when prompted. It is recommended that other running programs be shut down before rebooting.
Option 2: Uninstall from the Windows® Control Panel - Open the "Control Panel" and choose the icon for "Add/Remove Programs".
- Locate and highlight "OneTouch USB Driver". Select "Remove".
- You will be presented with InstallShield instructional messages. Follow these instructions.
- Select "Yes" to reboot your PC when prompted. It is recommended that other running programs be shut down before rebooting.
